Quilter's Day at the Fairground isan annual event for quilters held on the second Saturday in February each year.
The event is a day with a difference each year, the morning activity normally takes the form of a workshop but this varies from year to year in style and content with a speaker in the afternoon to provide a day packed full of interest for quilters. Mornings are interactive with hands-on participation; retail therapy with specialist suppliers; an abundance of refreshments and companionable conversation. Afternoon speakers bring their expertise and examples of their craft for your entertainment.
Over 80 people regularly come to the Fairground Day and we have had as many as 100.
The venue is the “Village Hall”, at The Fairground Craft and Design Centre, Weyhill, Andover, Hants., SP11 0QN
The Fairground Design and Craft Centre is non-profit-making and is home to a variety of craft workshops and studios including a contemporary gallery with a rolling programme of exhibitions
The lunch time is perfect for not only visiting our “captive” suppliers but for taking a walk around the retail outlets of the Design and Craft Centre. If you wish to treat yourself to lunch at the on site café, Ewe and I, you can order this on the day, otherwise, bring your own lunch.

Comments on the 2016 Fairground Day
Thank you again for a great day at the Fairground this year. I very much appreciate all the effort which went into organising and running the event - you and Jenny are a great team. "Crazy Mary" was inspirational, loved her enthusiasm. Sandi
Thank you for all you did to make Quilters at the Fairground so enjoyable. Thelma
A Gift of Quilts had this lovely quilt made by Carole,
Eileen, June, Sylvia and Tricia of Quarterjack Quilters, Wimborne,
Dorset, given to us to pass on to a charity. The ladies had pooled the
fabrics they won in the 2015 raffle at the Quilters Day at the
Fairground and made this quilt. Within days of the event at the Weyhill
Fairground we had a request for a pink quilt from Breast Cancer Pink
Lady Day and we were very happy to pass this on to them.
